Welcome to Harwell
The University of Manchester at Harwell (UoMaH) was established in 2018 with a vision to enable excellent, impactful science using National Facilities at Harwell. UoMaH is located at Diamond Light Source next door to ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, the Central Laser Facility and the Scientific Computing Department. Our team of core staff provides expert experiment support to users of the National Facilities and can help support work at national facilities including:
- Design of experiments including best choice of facility and beamline set up
- Advise on the writing of proposals providing an interface to the beamline scientists
- Ensuring the appropriate health, safety and environment requirements are in place
- The development, installation and operation of in situ rigs and novel sample environments
- Providing access to an on-site X-ray CT scanner
- Data analysis methods and processes.
