The University of Manchester at Harwell
Welcome to Harwell
The University of Manchester at Harwell (UoMaH) was established in 2018 with a vision to enable excellent, impactful science using National Facilities at Harwell. UoMaH is collocated at Diamond Light Source under a collaboration arrangement, on the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Site (Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire). Our proximity to the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Science and Technology Facilities Council (ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, the Central Laser Facility and the Scientific Computing Department) enables us to provide expert experiment support to users of the National Facilities. Our specialty is developing equipment for and running experiments in extreme environments.
We have:
- close links to the facilities’ principal beamline scientists
- a well established network for the facilities’ safety, health and environment
- an extensive experience of developing, installing and operating equipment for facilities experiments
- experience in running extreme science experiments (including knowledge and understanding of safety procedures required for each facility)
We are the perfect partner for your experiments at the National Facilities. Find out more on how we can help.
